What is PWCA's dress code policy?
|
Uniforms are required at Pacific West Christian Academy for all kindergarten through 5th grade students. Conservative dress standards required at the Junior High School.

Does the Academy offer the same subjects as public schools?
|
Yes, and more! At the elementary level we also offer technology, library, music, art, Bible, and PE. The Academy also offers After School Sports & cheer, guitar.

Do you have a hot lunch program?
|
Yes, the Academy contracts out with Children's Choice Lunches
to offer an optional hot lunch program at the Elementary and Junior High
campuses. The price is $5.00 per lunch.

Does PWCA have chapel and Bible classes? If so, how often?
|
PWCA students have Bible class daily and chapel once a week, every week.
- Elementary chapel is on Thursdays:
9 a.m. for grades 3-6; 10:45 a.m. for K-2;
- Junior High chapel is on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. (grades 6-8).

How does PWCA test and measure student achievement?
|
PWCA uses the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT 10) produced by the Harcourt Brace Educational Measurement Company to formally evaluate students' progress in each grade, K-8th. The test is given in April each year and results are included with the 4th quarter report card.

What is the tuition rate at PWCA?

Tuition ranges from $5,577 in K-5th to $5,940 in Jr. High. Multiple child discounts and 3 payment plans are available.

The main office is located at the elementary campus located on the corner of Mantelli and Calle del Rey, Gilroy, California. The address is 1575A Mantelli Drive, Gilroy, CA. The major cross street is Santa Teresa.

How old does my child need to be to enter Kindergarten?
|
To enter the kindergarten program a child must be five years old by December 2nd and must be developmentally ready for an academic kindergarten (as measured by the Gessell School Readiness Screening).

Does PWCA have a sports program?
|
As an outreach ministry PWCA offers competitive after school sports programs. The program includes basketball, flag football and soccer at the elementary level. Basketball and volleyball are offered at the junior high level.

Do you offer before & after school care?
|
Before school care is available from 6:45a.m. to 8:00a.m. and after school from 3:20p.m. to 6:00p.m each day school is in session. See the school calendar for hours of operation during school breaks.

How do I enroll at PWCA?
|
The first step is to download or pick up an Enrollment Application. Qualified applicants will be notified of their enrollment status based on current openings and invited to complete Steps II-IV.
