Spring Gala 2012
Save the Date! March 26, 2011!

Plans for the 2012 Spring Gala are underway!   We hope to make this year’s auction more special than ever.

Join us for a spectacular evening on March 24, 2012 at the Lodge on the Hill (Elks Lodge) in Gilroy.  This year’s theme is “La Bella Piazza-An Evening in Venice”.   This is PWCA's signature event & biggest fundraiser. A fun-filled evening, it is an event you don’t want to miss—Online and silent live auction, benefit drawing and an buffet-style dinner, a dessert dash and lively auction games.

The Spring Gala is a wonderful evening that brings the entire community together.  It benefits our children by raising  funds to support PWCA's Annual Fund which is used to enhance school enrichment programs such as technology, scholarships, field trips, music, art, sports, library and staff development. Funds from past Galas have helped purchase our playground equipment, build our library and open our computer lab.

To be successful, we need your help!

Volunteer: Join the Spring Gala Committee—share your time, treasures and talents with us….there’s a lot to do! Fill out the attached volunteer form and return it to us asap. Our committee meets regularly on Friday mornings at 8:30 in the staff room on the main campus.


Donations: These are the items to be auctioned; without them we would not have an event. Parents, families, local community businesses and friends provide some of the best and most creative donations to the Auction.  Businesses are remarkably happy to donate—it is good advertising and a tax deduction for them!  Please fill out the attached Donation Form for each item you donate.  Use the attached Request for Donation Letter to ask everyone you know to be involved. We’ll send you a letter for your tax deduction and credit you in the Auction Catalog. See the attached sheet for Donation and Great Gathering suggestions.
 

Sponsorships:  We provide opportunities to sponsor a portion of the Auction, allowing more of the proceeds to benefit our children. This is a perfect opportunity for a business to make a contribution to the event.  Event sponsors are prominently featured in the Auction Book and at the event.

Benefit Drawing:  PWCA is pleased to offer a benefit drawing in conjunction with our spring fundraiser! The benefit drawing is the grand finale of the Spring Gala.  More info to come…

Underwriting: We provide opportunities to underwrite a portion of the events expenses (such as decorations, dinner, centerpieces etc) allowing more of the proceeds to benefit our children. Consider getting together with several families to donate underwriting costs.

Advertise:  Advertising is a great way to both support PWCA and promote your business!

Attend: Attend the auction or be a table captain and buy a whole table and encourage others to attend. Ticket information will be available in the near future.
